Burlington Area Disc Golf Club, INC has demonstrated significant growth and contribution to the disc golf community in 2023. Presiding on the 2023 Board of Directors, Jacob Wade, Danny Riggleman, Jason Emburey, Andy Reynolds, Dallas Suitt, Bradley Dixon, and Bryan Steele.

Membership and Participation

• Active Members: The club has maintained a vibrant community with 57 active members.

• Singles League averaged 62 unique players, per session.

Events Hosted

• Singles League: Successfully organized for 29 weeks, providing local players with weekly competition.

• USDGC Doubles Qualifiers: Hosted 2 qualifiers, showcasing top-tier doubles competition.

• B-Tier Alamance County Pro-Am: A highlight event that drew significant attention and participation.

• C-Tier 9th Annual SPC Open: Another successful sanctioned event, adding variety to our tournament offerings. Our longest-running event.

• Putting Championship: Focused on Putting Skills, this event was well-received by members.

Financial Contributions and Labor

• Regulator Disc Golf Course:

  • Funds Raised: $1,800, demonstrating our commitment to course development and maintenance.

  • Labor Donated: Over 2,000 hours, reflecting our members' dedication and hands-on involvement.

• Chimney Hills Course:

  • Labor Donated: Over 500 hours, contributing to another key local course's upkeep and improvement.

• Beth Schmidt Ace Place

  • Labor Donated: 12 hrs installing the course, to provide a key location for beginners to practice their game..

• USWDGC Sponsorship: Sponsored 2 members' entry, promoting gender diversity and inclusion in the sport.

Current Financial Status

• General Funds: $720.95

• No outstanding debts

As we move into 2024, the Burlington Area Disc Golf Club will continue to foster a community that values sportsmanship, and the growth of disc golf. We aim to expand our membership, host a wider range of events, and increase our contributions to course development and maintenance.
