Annual Executive Summary | Fiscal Year 2025
In 2025, the Burlington Area Disc Golf Club (BADGC) maintained its momentum as a pillar of the local athletic community. By prioritizing a value-driven, low-cost model, the club achieved a 2.38% growth in membership. Our strategic focus on accessibility has not only sustained our core base but has successfully lowered the barrier to entry for new players, driving increased engagement across all local courses.
Event Excellence & Portfolio Expansion
We successfully managed a diverse calendar of competitive and social events, reinforcing our reputation for high-quality tournament direction:
Premier Sanctioned Events: Successfully hosted a USDGC Doubles Qualifier, the Alamance County Pro-Am (B-Tier), and the SPC Open.
Community & Member Engagement: Hosted the annual Ice Bowl, a members-only unsanctioned tournament and cookout, and a successful Glow series at Springwood Park.
Strategic Partnerships: Collaborated with Yeet Street Discs to facilitate Friday Flex Starts, hosted sanctioned leagues, expanding weekly play opportunities.
Philanthropy & Community Impact
Our commitment to Alamance County extends beyond the fairways:
Charitable Giving: The Ice Bowl tournament raised $825 and 600 lbs of canned goods for Alamance Meals on Wheels.
Youth & Family Outreach: In partnership with Alamance Parks, we conducted a 6-week Family Disc Golf Clinic to foster the next generation of players.
Operational Growth & Infrastructure
Volunteerism: Members contributed over 500 volunteer hours toward course maintenance and improvements.
Corporate Sponsorship: Secured our first formal Corporate Partnership with Yeet Street Discs, providing a foundation for sustainable event scaling.
