Post date: Feb 21, 2016 3:44:59 AM

The event may be coined Ice Bowl but in North Carolina you never know what weather we may have come February. Fortunately for the 1st Annual BADGer Ice Bowl we had as close to perfect conditions one could hope. 45 people participated in the inaugural event which took place at Burlington City Park on a temporary course set up by BADGer's Mike Avillion, Jake Dunson and Jon Owens. Fellow BADGers Phillip Sisouphanh, Deez, Dustin Dodson, Dallas Suitt, Jason Scott, Jacob Wade, Gregory Morana, Drew Smith, Chris Norris, Rodney Gilmore and Ross Davis allowed BADG to use their baskets and Bain Heffner while unable to attend let us use his truck. A BIG thank you goes to you all and also to Anthony Godwin, Jill Cunningham Avillion, and Jessica Ivanditti Dunson. Without each and everyone of you this wouldn't have been possible. After all was said and done we raised $960 and a bunch of canned goods! BADG will donate the remaining $40 to bring our grand total up to a $1000 donation to Meals on Wheels of Alamance County. Big thanks also goes to Sheetz, Play It Again Sports, Pandora's Pies, Fat Frogg, Dominos, and CiCi's for donating prizes for the event. Below is recap of the action as well as full results. I also captured a lot of video that I'll be uploading later this week.

The course consisted of 12 holes which were played twice in the first round from the short tees and once for the second round from the long tees for a total of 36 holes with a par of 108. Winning the Pro division beating out Jacob Wade and Brad McCoy by 2 strokes was BADGer Dave Redding shooting a 94 (-14). Way to go!!

For the Advanced Division separated by only one stroke, getting his first Advanced win was Danny Riggleman shooting a 95 (-13). Congrats!!

The largest division of the tournament with 27 was Rec. Shooting hot enough that he would have taken home the win in Pro. Jeremy Langhoff took home the W by eight strokes with a 91 (-17). Great job!!

As with all BADG tournaments we reward any women or kids that play since they often have much smaller divisions. Winning a Leopard was Roslyn Dwyer.

Winning a gift card was Ty Hethcox.

Winning an Innova Tshirt was Zach McCoy.

We had Closest To the Pin prizes on every hole for the first round. These 12 people were the winners:

Bob Watson, Jacob Wade, Pat Cammer, Jeremy Langoff, Tim Brown, Tom Wagner, Rodney Gilmore, Dallas Suit, Brian Webb, Brent Mabry, EJ Nichols, Nick Webb.

We had a ton of stuff to raffle off...

But the item that most people were after was the basket.

Ross Davis was lucky enough to have the winning ticket.
